Scope and Objectives

The Kaizen Company is seeking an Organizational Development Specialist for an anticipated five-year Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Activity (MELA) in Jordan, funded by USAID. This will be a full-time position based in Amman, Jordan. MELA will provide a range of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) services relevant to USAID/Jordan’s portfolio of programs which focuses on: economic growth, capacity building, democracy and governance, public service delivery, and gender equality and female empowerment. MELA will contribute to 1) ensuring that USAID’s development programs in Jordan achieve their intended results through an efficient and effective mechanism; and 2) building the institutional capacity of local monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) firms to assume increasing management responsibility of MEL awards.

The Organizational Development Specialist will design and facilitate trainings, workshops, and events to build mission, local, and implementing partners’ capacity in managing MEL activities for improved results.


  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, curriculum design, or related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, preferably in Jordan
  • Demonstrated experience designing, planning, and facilitating trainings/workshops/events for a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated knowledge of USAID project cycle, agency policies, regulations and reporting requirements
  • Experience working on MEL projects
  • Fluency in English and Arabic
  • Eligibility to work in Jordan


  • Design and facilitate MEL trainings, workshops, and events for stakeholders, including for Mission and Implementing Partner (IP) staff
  • Create and manage calendar of events for stakeholder participation
  • Coordinate with the COP to incorporate all activities in one coherent work plan and capacity building plan for the project
  • Report against Performance Management Plan (PMP) indicators
  • Provide technical expertise in capacity building for project activities
  • Conduct capacity assessments of the mission, local organization, and implementing partners
  • Support creation of capacity development plans, performance-based position descriptions for stakeholders
