USAID’s Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) supports U.S. foreign policy objectives by catalyzing local initiatives to advance stability, peace, and democracy in response to complex political crises. Kaizen is seeking a Transition Advisor a potential program based in Erbil, Iraq.
Please note that this is not a guarantee of hire, however, those included will be among the first of whom we would reach out to for assignments under this contract should it be awarded to Kaizen.
Serves a central role in supporting the program in close coordination with the USAID/OTI Country Representative (CR) and will serve as an interlocutor with the implementing partner(s). The TA will play a key role in supporting day-to-day program management, developing and implementing, grants (small and in-kind), program reporting, and outreach efforts. Provides recommendations to shape program strategy. Coordinates closely at the field level to identify the widest range of potential partners and achieve maximum synergy with other programs.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of managing programs in complex, highly sensitive political environments, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a deep understanding of grants management (rapid-cycle, small, and in-kind), and the ability to coordinate effectively amongst a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
