The Kaizen Company is seeking an Operations/Logistics Assistant for the five-year Regional Intergovernmental Organization (RIGO) System Strengthening Activity project based in Nairobi.  

Position Summary

The Operations/Logistics Assistant will support compliant day-to-day office operations and provide administrative and logistics support to the technical team. This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.   

Expected responsibilities include:

  • Handle all aspects of the planning, organizing, and coordinating of RIGO events and activities.
  • Facilitate logistics and administration in RIGO-based countries (Djibouti, Tanzania, and Zambia) for the three Team Leads and short-term technical assistance (STTA).
  • Support the Finance Officer in financial management and reporting in collaboration with the Kaizen home office, according to USAID policies.
  • Facilitate the arrangement and follow-up to support regional travel by activity staff members and consultants.
  • Implement all logistics and operations processes and procedures for the Nairobi office in compliance with Kaizen’s field manuals.
  • Coordinate activity-wide data collection to support activity monitoring, working with each Team Lead under close supervision from the Chief of Party.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, International Affairs/Relations, Economics, or other relevant field
  • A minimum of five years of experience in operations and logistics coordination, preferably on USAID-funded projects
  • Fluent English language proficiency (speaking and writing)
  • Strong communication, time management, and people skills
