Call for CVs: Assessment/Evaluation Team Leads

Kaizen is currently building a roster of assessment and evaluation Team Leads to oversee future anticipated assessments and evaluations with USAID, under the USAID/Jordan Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning Activity (MELA). 

We are looking for CVs with the following experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience designing and conducting assessments and/or evaluations.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience overseeing assessment and/or evaluation teams as Team Lead. Experience managing a team of up to six people is a plus.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (social science, international development, economics, statistics, etc.).
  • Leading program design for USAID or other donors.
  • Strong understanding of USAID’s Evaluation Policy and Automated Directive Systems (ADS) Chapter 201 Program Cycle Operational Policy.
  • Leading and designing assessment and/or evaluation methodology, including evidence reviews, qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Professional competence in the use of behavioral/social science research methods, both quantitative and qualitative, and their application to performance and impact evaluations.
  • Implementing and coordinating surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions, observations, and other assessment methods that assure reliability and validity.
  • Conducting secondary analysis of existing quantitative datasets.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and reanalyzing as needed existing data pertinent to the evaluation.
  • Experience exercising logic in constructing and testing hypotheses and causal links, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative information for policy formulation and guidance.
  • Skills in working collaboratively as part of a high-performance team and with a wide range of development professionals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to present complex issues clearly (orally and written).
  • Proven experience writing assessment/evaluation reports (samples will be requested).
  • Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to keep to tight deadlines. 
  • English fluency required. 
  • Selected candidates may be required to travel to Jordan.

 Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working in the Middle East and North Africa region, experience working in Jordan desirable.
  • Arabic fluency.
  • Cross-sectoral experience is a plus.
