Scope and Objectives
The Kaizen Company is seeking a Chief of Party (COP) for the anticipated USAID/Liberia Civil Society Activity. The new civil society activity will support an increase in civil society’s role in incentivizing reforms and moving Liberia towards sustainability. When CSOs are strengthened, their ability to effectively communicate with their constituents and serve as a conduit for citizens to advocate their concerns to the government is improved, while also providing feedback to the citizenry regarding policy reforms, accountability, and service delivery at the national and local levels. A capacitated and self-reliant civil society will serve as a conduit between government and citizens, creating strong feedback loops that will 1) elevate citizen concerns to national public dialogue, 2) advocate for citizen concerns with government 3) communicate progress on reforms to civil society networks, and 4) serve as a watchdog to ensure the implementation citizens’ priorities.
The COP will provide overall leadership and management of all aspects of the contract.
